Where HAVE I been?

Back in December 2022, I challenged myself to upload/publish 1 blog a day

(to count down to Christmas). I near enough made it with plenty of content being uploaded.

It was a fun challenge.

Come 2023, I wanted to try again - this time I had the additional challenge of needing to come up with original content for the month.

23rd November, 2023

Went to mainland to have new tracking/camber bolts (inside of tyre was wearing quicker than the outside).

After new tracking bolts/camber bolts are put in, the car should drive a little wonky before the wheels are aligned (alignment/tracking) but the car felt completely normal/fine/unaffected.

30th November, 2023

Headed to the mainland a day before the work was due to arrive early.

1st December, 2023

Had work done at the garage.

By the time the work was done, we were running out of light - I was supposed to have an oil change that same day, but time just completely slipped by.

2nd - 3rd December, 2023

On the 2nd - 3rd December, I was supposed to have the first of two back-to-back 24 Hour Races (2nd - 3rd Dec. BritCar 24hrs) (9th - 10th Dec. 23hrs Zolder For Mental Health)

I was planning to go back on Friday night after the repairs, but I got a call that a friend needed some (urgent) help (due to unforeseen circumstances, my friend needed to take care of a relatives dog for a period of time, and we needed to pick it up.)

I was back on the Isle Of Wight in time for the start of Week 13.

5th - 11th December, 2023

Then it was Week 13 between 5th - 11th December which went...meh. Lots of missed opportunities for good results due to silly errors and mistakes I was making under pressure (at the front).

In the end:

*Red Bull Ring was more like a quarter of a lap - I took the lead, then took a corner too fast and span out - just like Oulton, that stung like HELL

It was marred by over-driving (pressure from behind/keeping the lead) and several slices of bad luck - but I'm sure March will be here before I know it.
