This Week's Off-Track Action!

Whilst Week 13 has been taking place, I've also been incredibly busy behind the scenes too!

My last blog ended on the 1st December, so, let's go from there

28th November (Mon.)

Leave For Essex.

29th November (Tue.)

In Essex, helping move a TV.

30th November (Wed.)

Had a tour of London with another friend, going to the North, East, South-West of London in one day. Headed back to Essex that night.

1st December - 3rd December (Thur. - Sat.)

Saw friend on the way home (Thursday, 1st), got on the ferry at past midnight, arrived home at 1am or so - Had a very close miss on the way home, which made me thankful for life.

The following day (Fri, 2nd), I went in for my weekly Universal Credit meeting - however my normal work-coach wasn't there, which made it slightly different.

Additionally I wrote up four different articles - and published them all on Saturday (3rd).

4th December - 5th December (Sun - Mon)

The 4th was the first day I had a pre-written blog for "Blog A Day" and it was essentially my iRacing Year In Review.

I also wrote an article which was scheduled for Monday, and came out on Monday which was seperate from Pt. 2 to the article I wrote on Sunday.

6th December (Tues.)

Week 13 started. Chose to race the Formula 3 in the Battle Of The Little Wings as it hadn't been in the series for a year.

4th --> 5th.

7th December (Weds.)

Was a very successful day - started the day with a 3rd @ Rudskogen (Battle Of The Little Wings), (from the front row!) before helping out my family by picking up something that was collected online and grabbing some foody bits from the local supermarket. This was my last time out of the house.

8th December - 11th December (Thurs. - Sun.)

Between Thursday and Sunday, I just partook in my Week 13 Series - As of Sunday I've:

- Either finished in the Top 5 or retired

- Got 3 front-row starts (Rudskogen & Okayama (x2))

- Got 6 Podiums (Rudskogen, Okayama (X3), Oulton Park, Laguna Seca)

8th December (Thursday)

I've very weird and don't race at tracks that don't exist - so, on the 8th, whilst The Battle Of The Little Wings was at a track that's been demolished (Oran Park) I tried out the new Toyota GR86 at Okayama and finished 5th from 4th (via 20th!).

9th December (Friday)

Following this, on 9th December, I had a very busy day - with 3 races (well, 3 attempts at a race) and a Universal Credit Phone-call which I THINK went productively - but only time will tell.

After a backmarker re-joining killed me in my first attempt, I won on the third attempt (finished 3rd on the second from 3rd on the grid)

Although I felt guilty for taking multiple starts, because usually I just take one.

10th December (Saturday)

The 10th December went very well - with a P2 finish at my home race for Week 13. I also tested the Mercedes AMG GT GT3 for the first time since the Week 13 updates were implemented on the GT3 class - and it understeered like a boat - but hopefully the new setup that's been worked upon between two drivers have the answers to our tears.

11th December (Sunday)

Today I received a message from a driving instructor, letting me know he's available very shortly - to which I organised a date instantly!

Anything to reduce the obsticals to look for a job - and there are island-based driving jobs on the Isle Of Wight - I now just need to get this thing! I can drive, it's just now adding a few more "additional steps" - and each lesson is one closer to the test.

I can drive - I've passed my theory and practical, I now need to add a few more steps - and once mastered, I'll be at the test centre (hopefully before the end of the millennia! (okay, year!)

Tomorrow the Battle Of The Little Wings is at Summit Point...and there's a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach.
