My 2023 Year In Review

Prologue

Wow. 2023. Another wild year passes me by.

Year on year, I get more responsibilities, yet with it comes a wilder year.

As a kid, it was just school half the time, and play the rest (oh how I wish I could go back to those days)

Since 2020, there's been pandemics, university, jobs, driving, responsibility..."adulting" at its finest. With less than 10 days of 2023 to go, I thought it would be high time to post/upload my 2023 Year In Review...enjoy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2023

Upon writing this year's year in review, I hadn’t a clue where – or even HOW to start.

It’s always a weird one, with no “perfect” time to start – start too early, and people will think you’re wishing the year away “It’s only February! How can you have anything to write?”

Start too late and there’s highlights of the year you might forget – and come December, you’ll have an entire year of memories to write up (AND EDIT!) in less than a month!

They always say that the year is like a rollercoaster – January and February are incredibly long and tedious and throughout March, it’s like coming over the top/crest of the climb – and it’s the anticipation of a summer of chaos…before plummeting into Summer – the best time of the year – before (hopefully) a calmer end to the year as the carriage arrives back at the depot for Christmas/New Year.

Upon peaking in May, I decided to begin writing my year in review – to reduce the workload by Christmas.

iRacing

Many will skim over this as it is, but to keep this as concise and as interesting as possible, I will separate my real-life year in review from my iRacing one – friends, family and relatives interested in my year, can read this one, followers of my iRacing “career” don’t have to scroll through pages and pages of personal “yibber yabber” (my words now!)

I've tried my best to minimalise all mentions of iRacing/iRacing events.

2022

Just as I eased into last year’s year in review (last quarter of 2021) I want to ease into this year in review with a bit of context heading into the new year (2023).

On 24th May, 2022, unbeknownst to all (including myself), I had my very last day at the University Of Wolverhampton.

Later that same year, in September, I was informed that I failed my university course and had the option of either:

  • only re-taking the courses I had failed

  • re-taking the entire year (all modules/courses included).

both options meant graduating a year later.

Going forth, I decided to finish my time at the University of Wolverhampton early.

It would be a further 9 months until I'd get my first job.

December marked 1 year since moving into our current home – a year on from moving in, I feel fully at peace and comfortable in my "new" home.

To aid my job-prospects, I started manual driving lessons in mid-December 2022 (3 years and 7 months on from passing my automatic test). I would only do a few lessons before my priorities changed and I got a bit “swept up under my feet” by the fast-paced current of life. I would resume in May 2023.

January 2023

Not even 24 hours into 2023 and I was already out in the big, wide world, having adventures and living life.

In the first week of 2023, I went to Disneyland Paris with two very close friends of mine and had an incredibly memorable time. Highlights included; being in business class on the flight to Paris (and eating business food!), buying a very large Stitch toy (significant because I bought him at Disneyland…and his size), meeting Santa Stitch (he didn’t talk, still enjoyable) and riding on an impressive amount of rides for the amount of time we had.

To my memory/knowledge, we only missed out on one ride we/I was interested in.

We did also spend half a day in central Paris, skimming past the Eiffel Tower, but that was not the main reason for our visit – this being Disneyland Paris.

On my return to the UK, I had a hectic week, helping out in Essex, having two back-to-back trips to Cornwall (for different reasons) in addition to making my iRacing race debut in 2023 (ROAR Before The 24).

The iRacing ROAR Before The 24 being incredibly exciting going from 41st/47th to 16th/47th in less than 3 hours (more on that in the iRacing Year In Review!)

The week after this, it would be my first (iRacing) 24 Hour Race of the year (also at Daytona) which would go unsuccessfully, ending up 3 laps down after the first lap due to getting taken out in a start-shunt.

To end January, my family would make the first of two trips to Germany to see my grandmother – this being after I arrived home at 10pm the night before we were due to leave!

I spent most of this trip unwell (unrelated to 10pm arrival back home).

January also saw the passing of Ken Block – a MAJOR loss in the motorsport community in addition to Robbie Knievel, Evel Knievel's son.

Between December (2022) and March 2023 I would race in the “Formula 4” “Open-wheel” series on iRacing, using the services’ fictional “IR-04” car.

February

February slipped by rather uneventfully – although I did go to my (paternal) grandfather’s last house - my trips there are few and far between, but there’s something so calming and…peaceful there – and I 100% understand why grandad chose to live there – it’s a stunning part of the world (or, well, England).

I had my dreams about living there…long ago.

Additionally in February, I also saw Harlow’s Roman Temple – I had driven past the sign on many occasion – but only in February found it and saw it (failed attempt in 2022).

In Mid-February, I would get a new PC courtesy of William – with my old hard drive, this meant I had three different hard-drives of storage space – at the time my one was reaching max-capacity and I had already suffered the loss of one storage drive.

In late February, I’d have my first concert of the year and I’d see BANNERS in Portsmouth.

It was okay. Not sure if it was the mic or BANNERS himself…but it was "okay."

I had more fun exploring the beach and trying a local restaurant/cafe – but not every concert can be perfect.

Other February shenanigans included watching the launches of this year’s F1 cars, having my first accident (no serious damage, just reversed too far whilst parallel parking causing minor cosmetic damage.

I'd also participate in an unsuccessful (iRacing) Bathurst 12hrs (caught up in an start pile-up further up the track) - once again ending up 3 laps down in the first half-hour of the race.

It also marked one year since the Invasion of Ukraine.

March

March’s madness absolutely made up for February’s quiet nature.

In fact – throughout the entirety of the month of March, I only managed one official (iRacing) race on March 1st, this being the final race of the season at Hungaroring.

The very next day, the road outside my house closed for two days.

March was very much Timon’s month…or a month of Timon:

-          2nd - Booking a VERY last-minute MOT.

-          6th - having a couple of new tyres fitted.

-          15th – having a window smashed after lock barrel bust

-          16th – 17th – Following this, Timon got two days of non-stop attention/work

(addressing many of Timon’s gremlins including a busted lock barrel (cause of

being locked out), faulty brake-light/s and rear washer jet…

Included in this work was a side-mirror replacement after I tried to manually adjust the mirror (glass) and hence dislodged it.

In a little more detail…

March began with me booking a very last-minute MOT (with a LOAD of advisories) before heading off to Devon with Asher for the following week (during iRacing Week 13)

On my return from Devon, I unfortunately got locked out of my car (the lock barrel bust) – and long story short, I smashed my rear window in (or well, I personally didn’t, but gave permission for it to be done)

What followed was two days of hard labour, patching Timon back up together and giving him a well-earnt service.

Aside from fixing Timon up, my highlight of the weekend was visiting Eastbourne, walking along the promenade (during sunset) and having a sausage on the pier (awww)

On the back of this, I had my second concert of the year and one I was thoroughly looking forward to – Tom Grennan at the Brighton Centre.

It was absolutely insane – and with the bigger budget and venue allowed for so much more – pyrotechnics, a backdrop/screen, confetti, bigger speakers –

un-fucking-forgettable.

What was also un-fucking-forgettable was getting locked in my hotel* (youth accommodation/hostel?) room after I had ordered food.

Security came out, my Pizza man came out – honestly, he wasn’t paid enough for that shit.

In late March, I also did another run to Cornwall on the weekend of the iRacing Sebring 12 Hours – this meant that the big one – the Nürburgring 24 Hours would be my first special event in 3 months (since Bathurst 12hrs)

This would also be about my third run in about 3 months (forth counting Devon).

March would end in style as I had back-to-back interviews on the 30th and 31st (March) but one got postponed and the other cancelled.

April

On April 1st, I made my iRacing debut after a month away. This would be my 6th longest break away from iRacing – and my second longest excluding the time I was at university.

Where one hiatus ends, another begins – and April saw the start of a month-long hiatus from seeing friends (unintentional) – not seeing any of my friends between 27th March and 26th April.

This being mostly due to me being busy – and didn’t have all too many requests to be seen (I work on a request basis – just so I have something to do whilst hanging out with friends, instead of just sitting on the sofa twiddling my thumbs).

During this hiatus:

- Had my first iRacing race in a month (1st April)

- Stayed up all night to watch a thrilling Australian Grand Prix (2nd April)

- Dad hospitalised with pneumonia (not something I want to remember)

(3rd April)

- Began racing in member-hosted iRacing Leagues (as opposed to iRacing's official events) (4th April)

- Had last unsuccessful job-interview) (6th April)

- Stayed up all night to watch an animation of the sinking of the titanic, synchronised to the timing it happened in 1912 (12th April)

- The motorsport community mourned the death of rally driver Craig Breen.

- Finished 10th in a (hosted) iRacing race where I was the second lowest iRating in my class. (performed well above my level)

- Went to Germany (for the second time) (19th – 21st Apr) – this time I was perfectly healthy for the entire duration – on coming home on Friday, (Some iRacing yibber-yabber)

That very Sunday, I finished 3rd in class in the Nurburgring Endurance Championship scoring my first podium of the year)

- Attempted to race in 3 endurance races in one weekend – ended with 2 retirements and a DNS (Did not start)

*I had the opportunity to do a further race (IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge) but the track was hugely unappealing.

-          Had a race where my team-mate disconnected from mid-stint – somehow we finished the race without losing a position (15th April)

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May

In May, I kicked my arse back into gear (no pun intended) and resumed my (manual) driving lessons after a 5-month hiatus (5th May)

During that same week, I went to my first live race of the year. (first live race in 6 months or so) BTCC at Brands with a friend (7th May)

Accidentally didn’t make much of a fuss over the coronation that same weekend (oops)

Had a rather forgettable (diabolical) iRacing Nurburgring 24 Hours (13th – 14th May) due to some abhorrent driving standards from me.

Could have had a Brands Hatch Triple-Header as the GT World Challenge was at Brands Hatch on the 13th – 14th May.

Could have seen BTCC on the 7th May,

GT World Challenge on the 13th – 14th

then done the Inflatable 5K on the 20th. But I’m not that bright – and Nürburgring 24 Hours takes priority!

May: An Impromptu Biathlon (20th May)

Given a TRIathlon is swimming, cycling and running – I imagined that a biathlon would be the same – minus one of these events…it appears not.

Alas – the 20th May was a day incredibly unlike me – a day I was active and doing MULTIPLE sporting activities “never again!” I say!

The Inflatable 5K is an event run by “UK Running Events” and consists of a 2.5K run with several inflatable obstacles every few hundred feet.

In essence, you run up to the obstacle, climb over/through it, then run to the next.

Being a 2.5K course, 2 laps is 5K (Inflatable 5K) – but you can choose how many laps you do – I’m not quite 10K (4 Laps) material yet – barely managing 2 laps.

I did this race in 2022 – and wanted to do the 2023 event at Donington Park (also a race track) – but sadly, as I wasn’t in Wolverhampton/Uni come the 2023 event, going to Donington Park didn’t seem feasible.

--

Between 4:30am and 5:00am, I’d wake up for a very long day, by 5:18, I was up, took a picture of the sunrise before heading off at 5:45am, getting to the Freshwater ferry terminal for 6am.

The plan for the day was simple drive up to Virginia Water, do a lap, drive to Brands Hatch, complete the “Inflatable 5K” event and drive home again

As for Virginia Water – ever since first going, I always thought “this would be absolutely amazing on a bike” – so with a pocket of time on Saturday – I set out to do what I had always wanted to.

By the time I arrived, it was 08:42am – the lake had been open less than an hour, and it was absolutely stunning.

Admittedly, I forgot my helmet, because I’m useless – but the cool morning air on my face, barely a sound around me – the morning joggers…doing their thing – it was absolute bliss.

Even more bliss was the ice-cream I had, two hours into my ride.

Yes, I did get a bit lost ¾ of the way around – but I discovered “Cow Pond”, a very square, beautiful man-made lake.

By 11:30am, I had made it back to my car – My run was at 1pm, and I had a 1 hour 10 minute journey ahead of me  - time to hit the road!

By 12:50, I had arrived at my second location

The run went very well – and I enjoyed it just as much as last year – if not more as I knew I’d have to pace myself and couldn’t just “bomb” it out of the gate (pace myself)

I’d take about an hour (taking into consideration picking up my phone from the storage) – 5KM in 1hr – not bad…I don’t think.

Run done, I had a quick gander at the racing activity at Brands Hatch, before it was red-flagged due to an accident – before heading to two of my friends houses after not seeing them in a good month.

The following weekend, I’d go to Southend On Sea – adding to my rapidly growing Beach Total for the year.

To end May, it was Kabort’s 4th Anniversary

2nd March – 31st April: 30 Day iRacing Hiatus

27th March – 27th April: Mainland Hiatus* (excluding Germany)

May ended with me somehow managing to schedule a race every single day of the week bar Friday!

(iRacing Leagues)

Mon: FRL (Formula Racing League) iMotoring Mondays (GT3) (Started June)

Tue: QRT (Quantum Racing Team) GT3/GT4 Battle Tour (GT3/GT4 Multiclass)

Wed: DML (Delta Motorsport League) GT4 Showdown (GT4)

Thur: VRG (Virtual Racing Group) GT4 Tour (GT4)

Sat/Sun: Michelin Pilot Challenge/IMSA Endurance

With this in place – between leagues (above) and official races, I somehow managed to do 9 GT4 Races in a row, this only being ruined by a GT3-League Launch Party.

June

In June, things got a little wild.

Starting June, it marked my 1 year anniversary of buying/owning Timon, my Skoda Octavia.

In June, during the final week of the season, I FINALLY participated in the iRacing series I said I would at the start (IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge)

In Season 3, 2023, iRacing debuted the “FalkenTyre Sportscar Challenge”  - with the new release of the LMP3 car – they decided to have a 30 minute race – LMP3 VS GT4 – and they absolutely struck GOLD.

Just as the GT4 field settles down 2 – 4 laps in, along comes the pack of LMP3’s to lap the GT4 field – it’s absolute carnage – and I’m living up every second of it.

On 10th June, I went to Frinton beach with a friend – a beach I had never been to before – but had a blast at.

On returning to the Isle Of Wight, I noticed my rear tyres were bald – so called a mobile fitting service – the difficulty was, the service I chose could only come out to the mainland/Lymington Port – In a flurry of confusion – I had several dates whizzing around my head – so cancelled my driving lesson on Wednesday.

Two days later, I had the work done…just hours before I was due to be at the airport as I was going to Disneyland Paris (Pride)

By sheer LUCK, our flight was delayed and we were all able to make our flight to Paris (albeit arriving at past midnight) – but what a headache that could have been had the flight left on time, and us missed it.

So what actually happened?

Due to some mechanical damage, my tyres were wearing much quicker than they should – after replacing the tyres in March, by June (3 months) they were completely bald.

There was no question about it – I needed to replace the tyres – and the sooner I did so, the better – the less drives I did, the less likely I would be caught by the Police for having bald tyres – and the less potential for my car to be seized for not being in a road-worthy condition.

16th June

The 16th June was one clusterfuck of a day – to be quite honest.

Despite having a flight at 8pm – there were many things to tick off beforehand – arriving at the airport at 6pm, driving my friend to my other friend and parking at my second friend’s house…

Unfortunately, the earliest I could get an appointment with the mechanic was 1:30pm – I due to the amount I’d be driving, I couldn’t exactly “put this off” – especially as I had booked it – and a last-minute cancellation would look pretty shit on my behalf.

At 12:21, I left my house to catch the 1pm ferry (45 minute journey) – by 1:30pm, I was in Lymington at our meeting spot.

Since he was near Poole (or the nearest he’d been in a while), he informed me he’d make a quick stop-off in Poole before attending to my Tyre Calamity.

Fast forward to 3:30pm and the mechanic had arrived and was replacing the wheels – whilst having a little look for the cause – thus far shock absorbers caused an irregular camber (angle of the wheels) causing the inside of the wheel to wear very quickly.

Having arrived at 1:55pm, I was off at 4:06pm JUST over 2 hours after I had arrived – with a two-hour journey ahead of me to my friends house – 6pm was looking pretty darn impossible. But the flight was at 8pm, and that’s all that mattered.

By 7:30pm, we were on our way to the airport – and the flight had been delayed until 9:55pm – as I said – VERY lucky, otherwise we would have missed the flight due to my sheer incompetence.

By 8pm, we were in the airport terminal – we got our tickets – got our luggage loaded onto the plane and breathed a sigh of relief as we’d be going to France.

Shortly after 10pm, we boarded our flight – and began our holiday.

France is one hour ahead of the UK – and it was a one hour flight – so in France Time (CEST – Central European Standard Time) our flight went from 11pm on the 16th to 00:55 on the 17th June.

We landed at 00:55 (12:05am) and then headed straight to bed in a budget Ibis Hotel.

Back on iRacing, it was the weekend of the iRacing Watkins Glen 6 Hours – but I much preferred being on holiday in France with two close mates!

I’m not even half-way through the year and this document is already at almost 3200 words – so I’ll keep it short and sweet.

Check in for the second hotel was at 1pm/3pm – but after waking up (and heading there) we were able to put our suitcases in the locker-room, head to Disneyland, and then come back to put our suitcases in our room.

We had a long day – so whilst my other friend went to a Concert at Disney, I stayed at the hotel with my friend.

Ironically, that night was the only night I managed to go swimming at the hotel’s pool – the remainder of the holiday, we got back so late that the pool had shut by the time we arrived back.

On Sunday, we spent the entire day at Disneyland.

The 19th marked our final full day In Paris (well, it should have been…) – and on this day, we went to central Paris – my highlights of the day were:

-          Climbing the stairs to the Eiffel Tower – proud of myself after that one

-          Seeing the FIA Headquarters (LOTS of important people in that building)

-          Seeing three new Asian car-brands

LYNK & CO (CHN)

AIWAYS (CHN)

VINFAST (VIETNAM)

Most of the day was spent on a tour-bus – seeing sights such as Arc De Triomphe, The Luvre, The FIA building (not a landmark) and the Notre Dame (which was very interesting to see after the fire damage in 2019 – can’t believe it was so long ago…

The Nightmare Heading Home

Just like the journey here, we had another late flight – this time home.

The 20th was an absolute nightmare – first British Airways said our flight was delayed, then cancelled, then we were put on an early one we had to sprint through the airport to catch…only to find out it had been cancelled.

That was the very beginning of our problems. Being the last flight of the day, there weren’t any flights until the following day – my friends had work the following day – and I had to pick up a part for my car (and I also thought I had a job interview) – and hardly wanted to mess around the seller – or move my job interview for a second time.

At first, it looked like we would have to spend the night in the airport – but somehow we managed to pull some strings and managed to find a room in one of the Disney Hotels (not the same one we stayed at) – we had a roof over our head, a room, a lock – it could have been princess themed for any of us cared – it was just somewhere warm and safe to spend the night.

After getting to bed at about 10:30pm – we were up early… 04:30am early – we had a 7am – 8am (CEST) flight, meaning arrival at the airport at 5am.

Being an hour away, it was a pretty brutal start.

To make up for the Flight Calamity, our new flight was on a plane that was about a month old – brand spanking new!

Somehow, we landed half-an-hour early. My friend’s parents picked us up from the airport and we headed back to where my car was parked.

My other friend’s mum was waiting for her here – and we parted our own ways.

By about 11:20am, I had arrived at Southampton (where the new part was – a parcel-shelf) before heading to the port, missing the 12:30 ferry – but catching the 1pm ferry.

Somehow I made it back for that evening’s league race (DML) – and on Thursday had my weekly GT4 race and job interview.

Later that evening, they offered me the job – I was absolutely excatic to FINALLY get my first job after 9 months of trying.

Things moved pretty quickly from there – having my induction on Tuesday, before my first three shifts on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

All being incredibly difficult – but the feeling of coming home after a long day of work is UNBEATABLE.

-          The motorsport community mourned the death of Van ‘t Hoff

In late June, I had another job interview – and for the first time in my life, I got a job.

Throughout the next week, I had an induction before getting on with the job itself.

As with everything in life, we’ve got to make sacrifices – and sadly (?) I had to make a pretty big one. They offered Saturday, Sunday and Monday – and I instantly accepted it.

As little as it seems like it, I hate causing a fuss – and the fact I got the job was a miracle in of itself – I wasn’t going to throw it away by saying “Sorry, got this virtual race thingy” – at the end of the day, Tesco makes moolah – iRacing does not.

Anything to keep the job – I’d do – even if that meant essentially giving up on Kabort Motorsport (endurance races only happen during the weekend…when my shifts are)

July

After an induction on the 27th June, My first shift sat on the 1st July, 2023

For the first time since September 2022 (9 months), I finally had a structure – structure returned to my life.

With a busy schedule, July absolutely flew by

Mon – Work, Formula Racing League (FRL) GT3 in the evening

Tue – QRT League in the evening

Wed – Official Race Day, DML Mazda League

Thur – Evolution Sim Racing League

Sat & Sun – Work

In late July, I missed my first Spa 24 Hours since joining the service – which was tough – but I enjoyed work enough for it to make up for it.

In July, the motorsport world also mourned the death of Dilano Van't Hoff who was killed in a horrific crash at Spa.

August

August, August, August… Insane last year, insane again in 2023

Three quarters of the month were absolutely insane, before I rounded off the year in a pretty uneventful manner – making up for the two weeks of sim-racing that I missed.

August’s goals were to get more confident/comfortable at driving (test in September) and to just keep working at Tesco until they didn’t want me any longer (no, okay, until my contract ran out)

From Mid-August onwards, I got a little more busy on iRacing and less in real life – although I still had work on the weekends.

The final week of August return to the craziness.

September

I won’t lie, September has started off… “challenging” – with many to mourn.

4th Sept.  – Smashmouth (Steve Harwell)

6th Sept. – Drew (childhood friend)

8th Sept. – Her Majesty & Avicii’s Birthday

11th Sept. – 22nd Anniversary of 911

12th Sept. 2022 – One Year Since I was told I failed.

September was great as I saw a friend I hadn’t seen since secondary school, he came down to Portsmouth and we had a grand day out

September was certainly a busy month.

(Mon)28th Aug - Final Shift @ Tesco

(Sat) 2nd Sep. - Final Shift (officially, but I didn't attend) (Tue) 5th - 12th Sep. - (iRacing) Week 13 (Formula 3)

(Mon) 11th Sep. - 9/11 Day. (Sat) 16th Sep. - (iRacing) Bathurst 1000km (First special event since Nürburgring 24 Hours - 4 months (3 months since last enduro in June)

(Thur) 21st Sep. - Manual Driving Test

(Sun) 1st Oct. - On mainland headed to Spain.

Week 13 (iRacing) ended on a high with a 4th at Okayama, and then a 4th on Week 1 at Le Mans in a thrilling race.

September was a month of many lows and highs - starting the month off with my final shift at Tesco (Saturday 2nd September).

The following month, in October Tesco said they would start hiring Festive Colleagues, so I stayed on the island a little longer. Later on in the month, it was the  (iRacing) Bathurst 1000km which I blew my engine up in the first stint. September ended very decently, passing my manual driving test on the first try.

Admittedly, since passing my manual test, it's become less "important" to me.

Whilst learning to drive, I thought about all the amazing things I was going to do with my licence:

  • Red Letter Day Lamborghini Trofeo Experience Whilst a once in a life-time experience, the circuit it is held at doesn't allow one to live out their "GT3 Dream" (i.e - get up any speed - but that's quite understandably so when it comes to a multi-million pound race car!

  • One step closer to buying a Motorsport UK Starter Pack "Go Racing" Looking beyond the £100 MSUK Starter Pack, I'll then need to pay between £270 - £600 for an ARDS Test,

  • Job prospects (i.e: Driving jobs/Highway Traffic Officer)

Even if I don't go down the Highways route, it will still be invaluable to have a manual licence to present myself as more "hirable"

October

Between the 1st - 20th October, I headed to Spain for medical reasons with a friend - I will not expand further, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip for the both of us, and truly life changing for them.

Whilst in Spain, Tesco started hiring Festive Colleagues.

Tesco love a good tease and only started hiring locally to me in November.

Even then, I didn't get the job - not that they told me or anything.

Also in Spain, I watched a Japanese Motorsport (Formula 4) anime.

On my return to the UK, I had great success on iRacing at the Nordschliefe - competing in two races.

In the race I didn't qualify, I started 4th and finished 4th,

In the race I did partake in qualifying, I started my Aston Martin Vantage GT4 on pole position and finished 4th again.

November

November followed on from October's craziness

1st - Attended online Speed Awareness Course (Speed limit went from a 50mph, to a 40mph, and I was still doing 47mph - I can't choose this option for the next 3 years, so I've got to be on my best behaviour...

2nd – Had my car in for diagnosis

3rd – Chesunt Fireworks (Didn’t attend due to personal reasons)

4th – Woking Fireworks

5th – Brands Hatch Fireworks (Big Finale for Fireworks night/week)

9th  - 13th Race Of Remembrance.

11th - "Repaired" what the garage found on the 2nd Nov.

15th - Teardown DLC came out (only completed 1 mission!)

20th - Was meant to have trial shift for IOW (Isle Of Wight) distrubition but didn't have business insurance (was using my own car

23rd - Returned to garage after there was an error with repairs

December

December deserves its very own blog.

2nd - 3rd: Supposed to be (iRacing) Britcar 24 Hours, but didn't attend :|

5th - 11th: Week 13 (Formula 3, Monoposto series)

14th - 18th: Netherlands

On the back of the Netherlands, I had A LOT going on

  • Food in the fridge going out of date (first world problem)

  • 15 - 20 uneaten advent calendar doors (first world problem)

  • Missed several blogs (first world problem)

  • Almost losing friends left, right and centre (my own fault)

  • Losing laptop after coming back from the Netherlands

and of course, the cherry on the top of the proverbial cake - a cold just in time for Christmas. Wonderful.
