Marching Into More Mania...

Thus far 2023 has been absolutely wild - starting the year with a week-long trip to Paris, before heading to Cornwall twice in a week - before then heading to Germany for a family holiday for a further week.
early 2023 also saw a PC change/upgrade, my first concert of the year (late Feb) and plenty more occurring behind the scenes.
In the virtual world, my life has been just as crazy with three iRacing Special Events - two being back-to-back.
Heading into March, my life doesn't seem to show any signs of slowing.
1st March, 2023
28th February, 2023 saw the start of Week 12 - the final week of the Season 1, 2023 iRacing Season.
The following day, I had my final race of the season at the Hungaroring - it's pretty safe to say, it's not one of my favourite circuits - and somehow (and for some reason), I was put into Top Split (against the fastest drivers entering the race during that hour) - and even more miraculously, I managed to finish 11th against drivers much higher than my own skill.
In Season 2, 2023 (w/c 14th March), I will be racing in both the Michelin Pilot IMSA series in an Aston Martin GT4 and the IMSA Endurance Series in a Ferrari 488 GT3.
Both should see a lot more participation than the F4/IR04/Formula D Series - so I shouldn't be top-split/be with a more competitive field.
2nd March, 2023
On the 2nd March, 2023, my MOT was due.
Within less than a week, I went from having no idea my MOT was due, to stealing my mother's MOT slot - to having everything booked and sorted.
The good news was that Timon passed - the bad? It was one of the tightest scrapes I've ever seen (well, except from my GCSE and Driving Test - but that's not the point)
The list of advisory items was....extensive - but...a fair bit of money lost later, the parts were bought, and she (or he?) was due a visit to The Car Clinic.
Due to "prior commitments" - this would have to be done on the 16th - over half-way into the Manic Month.
The 2nd also saw the first day the road outside my house was closed for a couple of days - at first, this (when the letter announcing it) arrived, I thought it was all rather exciting - but come MOT day - it was an absolute headache - especially when the road I was going to use as a de-tour also happened to be closed on the exact same day - meaning a lengthy de-tour just to get into my local town centre.
4th March, 2023
The 3rd March itself wasn't overly interesting - and only marked 2 years since my last (most recent) official win and pole position.

The 4th marked the day that my road reopened, and it turns out that they only added some kerbing/concrete to my (and possibly others') driveways - the road itself was untouched.
With it being reopening day, I could both return my car to the driveway, and see friends again - which is exactly what I did.
It was an incredibly busy day - catching a midday ferry, buying a bottle of screenwash and then seeing a friend before picking my brother up and taking him to the Isle Of Wight.
We'd eventually get back home after midnight and I'd be asleep by 1am.
5th March
Today's been a quiet day - and only consisted of watching the Grand Prix - but it definitely feels like the calm before the storm.
6th - 13th March: Week 13
8th - 15th March: Trip Out.
11th March: Creventic Endurance Series (R1) - Not Racing
13th March: George Ezra Concert (Under Threat)
15th March: Race 1, Season 1, 2023
16th March: The Car Clinic Service Day
19th March: Tom Grennan Concert
24th March: Trip to Cornwall
25th March: iRacing Sebring 12hrs (Missing it for 2nd year in a row)
Sorry it's been a short blog - just needed to get it off my mind!
