It's been announced that British racing driver Robin Truswell will be competing in the upcoming season of the Apex Racing League Formula 3 Championship.
Now in its fourth season, the league offers some of the most competitive Formula Three racing on the iRacing service.
No, it's not on the same level or prestige as the FIA Formula 3 Championship in real life, but it's on the level of the F3 Cup or British F3 Championship - the drivers in this series are talented and they let it be known, but Truswell still has a chance to pick up second to last.
Unlike the "official" Weekly series that iRacing holds, the Apex Racing League has limited spots and only gives drivers three shots per weekend - meaning drivers have to be on the top of their game whilst competing and every overtake, crash and spin could be incredibly costly in the Championship fight.
Make a bad name for yourself in the first Round (3 races per round)? You're going to have to work hard to shake it off - In a league, you race the same drivers throughout the championship - some may join and others may drop out - but if you start making enemies, you're going to be known pretty quickly.
Truswell is truly diving into the deep end - not only racing against talented drivers, but also the pack being the centre of attention as the series is broadcasted, and with quite the eye-catching livery, Truswell in particular will be hard to miss.
