For most of my life, advent calendars have been a fun, festive, creative and interesting way to count down the days until Christmas.

For the majority of my life, I've just had your standard milk-chocolate calendar - but recently, I've been exploring new and exciting ways to count down the days until Christmas.

From white chocolate, to Malteasers, to Playmobil, to a Hot Wheels Advent Calendar this year - I've seen a fair few advent calendars in my time.

Back in 2020, I tried to do the double whammy of uploading a YouTube Video every day and doing a massive (virtual) Google Earth Road Trip, returning to my house on Christmas.

Come 2021, I was a bit pre-occupied with moving into my new house, but in 2022 - with a fairly firm grip on life, I decided I wanted to do "--- A Day".

I love writing a good blog, (and it was the only thing I was doing aside from iRacing) so I challenged myself to write a blog every single day until Christmas (or indeed New Year, if I had too many ideas).

Naturally, to start off, I had some obsticals that lay in my way - to start off, on the 1st December, I wasn't home - and I hadn't written a blog since the 13th November.

I guess I had two main goals/objectives:

1) Write a blog every day

2) Failing that, ensure there is blog to read every day.

2b) If I don't manage to upload a blog a day, upload more than one a day to make up for the missed days.

It's also worth noting, I'm not purposely writing blogs/extra blogs just for the sake of being a spare - or just for this challenge - sometimes I just have a good idea for a blog, and want to upload it that day - and it's just a coincidence that it becomes a spare - or that I've already written that day's "Planned" blog.

And here's how I got on:

Prioritising the Winter Nurburgring 24 Hours cost me 3 blogs - by the 19th, I'd be in debt by one blog (uploading two blogs today - the one already up, and a race report.
