Blog A Day - Day 9: Week 13 Preview

Hello, Welcome along, Sorry about the slightly "depressing" previous blog, Monday 9th sees us visit something a little more positive.

Last Friday, iRacing released the Week 13 schedule for this season, starting tomorrow.

After quickly grazing through it, I quickly made a decision on the week's plans.

The "main event" during this Season's Week 13 is the GT3 Challenge, featuring the brand new Hon-, sorry ACURA NSX GT3 as well as Thruxton Circuit.

Coincidentally, 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the Honda NSX (the base model of the GT3 car) - so it sits as a beautiful tribute heading into the NSX's 10th year.

The plan is to hold on out on Thruxton, and only buy the Acura.

Elsewhere, the "13th Week Funny Forecast" is also looking incredibly inviting.

This is GT3's, GT4's and the new BMW M2 CS at the Nurburgring Nordschliefe - it may be a very fitting prologue to Season 2's Nurburgring Endurance Championship attempt in March.

Alongside the "13th Week GT3 Challenge" is a fun series called the "13th Week Ridiculousness". Previously, I've competed in this series when it pitched the three Chevrolets against one another (GTP, GTE, GT3).

This season it's the trio of new cars - the GT3's, Gen 3 Supercars and BMW M2's.

I'm planning to wait until the Bathurst 1000km in September before buying the Chevrolet supercar.

Season 1, 2025

Season 1, 2025 will mark the finale in a 6-season (3 year) streak racing in the FalkenTyre Sports Car Challenge as I make the switch to Open Wheel and Formula 3 in Season 2, 2025.

Besides the Nurburgring Endurance Championship in S2, 2025, S1 2025 will mark my last attempt to drive in anger and get my sportscar iRating as high as it can be, before taking a hiatus from the series.

How high can I get? Can I beat my personal best? Can I beat 1547 - where my Open Wheel iRating currently sits?

I'm currently down in the 1200's - can I get higher than 80th position? Find out next season!
