A Quick Catch-Up

Updated: Aug 16, 2023

Good afternoon! I hope you are well!

It's been a little while since I did a "real life" update - things have just got a little bit...hectic.

My last update came on the 17th July.

17th - 23rd July iRacing aside, the 17th - 23rd July was a pretty quiet week - my first pay-day falling on the 21st July, before having to work through the entirety of the iRacing Spa 24 Hours weekend - which is fine, I just had to show where my priorities lay.

I also had a driving lesson on the 20th July

On the weekend, I had work as normal

Monday (17th) FRL @ Spa (GT3) Q: 5th/7th R: 5th/7th

Wednesday (19th)

DML @ Tsukuba (Mazda MX5's) - R1 of new championship Q: 4th/6th

Evolution Sim Racing @ Brands Hatch (Round 2) Q: 22nd R1: 17th R2: 19th (Major pile-up)

24th - 30th July

July ended quietly - so quietly in fact that I completely missed the fact that on the 24th July it was the 3rd anniversary of my first win on iRacing.

On the 24th July, 2020 - I won a league race (MOFO) and then went on to win my weekly Skip Barber race. That week it was at Donington Park - my "home race" of the season.

Still to this day, I only have two (official) wins to my name.

Other than a driving lesson, it was a very quiet week

Monday (24th)

FRL @ Daytona Moto Course (2008)

Q: 4th/7th R: 2nd/7th

https://www.kabortmotorsport.com/post/frl-daytona-daydream Wednesday (25th) DML @ Lime Rock (R2) Q: 4th R1: 3rd

R2: 4th

(Ironically finished 2nd & 3rd at R1) Thursday (26th) Evolution Sim Racing 1hr Race @ Spa

Q: 21st R: 17th That weekend, Formula E headed to London, but I had work.

And then August hit.
